Members of the faculty at Stratford Academy participated in a two-hour mindfulness workshop with Dr. Haberlin during which he explained what mindfulness is as well as its many benefits to overall emotional and physical well-being. He shared with us a variety of simple and easy strategies we can use to develop a personal mindfulness practice both at home and "on the go" as well as some quick centering exercises that can be done with students.  Dr. Haberlin is entertaining, engaging and funny. Before attending Dr. Haberlin’s mindfulness workshop I admit I was a bit skeptical about the benefits of mindfulness and meditation. Not only did Dr. Haberlin help minimize my anxiety with meditation, but he also made me realize how accessible and practical meditation can be anywhere.
